In Uzbekistan, the region’s fully integrated textile value chain and growing consumer market offer a wide range of opportunities for new business relationships. The German Pavilion at the UzTextile Expo in Tashkent from 28 to 30 May 2024 is an excellent opportunity for German companies in the textile industry to establish contacts with customers, suppliers, sales and production partners.
Uzbekistan is rapidly becoming a regional textile center. On the one hand, the Central Asian country is interesting as a production and procurement location. On the other hand, the domestic consumer market is growing rapidly, with a population of more than 35 million people. The country is one of the fastest-developing textile and apparel markets in the world. In addition, Uzbekistan is connected to many surrounding states in the region by free trade agreements, making it predestined as a supply platform for the Greater Region. Political reforms and market opening are accelerating the industry’s recovery. Today, the traditional cotton country scores with modern production facilities, comparatively high social and environmental standards and a zero-tariff policy of the EU.
Our webinar presents the most important facts about the new textile platform on the Silk Road and provides information about the industry’s leading trade fair UzTextile Expo Spring 2024 as well as the opportunities to participate in the German Pavilion. Before, during and after the fair, interested companies can take part in a business supporting program organized by GUZ Partners, the association partnership between GESAMTMASCHE and the Uzbek association UZTEXTILEPROM.
