At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association Ilkhom Khaydarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat and others noted that the event will allow getting acquainted with textile and garment-knitwear products and their production process.
“Iteca Exhibitions company organizes exhibitions in various areas with the official support of state organizations”, says Iteca Exhibitions Manager Nodira Hayitboyeva. – This time, the company, together with Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, organized an international exhibition of textile, clothing, and knitwear products. Over 120 companies from 9 countries, including 90 domestic enterprises, are taking part in the event. 40 percent of local companies are offering their products and services at this exhibition for the first time. This has been achieved thanks to the great attention paid by our state to the textile industry development.
National companies represent a wide range of textile products – Uzbek cotton yarn, fabrics, knitted, non-woven fabric, carpets, men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing.
“Our company is engaged in the manufacture and dyeing of knitted fabrics, as well as the production of finished products”, says Kamoliddin Qurbonov, Manager of LLC Avilon Kokand. – We produce 300 tons of raw knitwear per month. The sewing workshop carries out tailoring of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. Our products are exported to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Last year, products worth $4.5 million were exported, and this year we plan to increase this figure to $6 million.
Foreign companies are taking part in the exhibition with mini- and collective stands. Companies and enterprises from Turkey, Belarus, India, Tajikistan, and other countries are mainly representing textile products and accessories, fabrics, yarn, chemicals, and dyes.
Chief of Foreign Economic Relations Department at the Bellegprom Concern, Natallia Murashko, noted that Bellegprom is taking part in the UzTextile Expo exhibition for the third time. The current exhibition presents the products of three large light industry enterprises of Belarus.
India’s Vineet Polyfab Pvt. Ltd. is also taking part in the exhibition. The company, founded in 1997, exports its products to more than 80 countries.
According to the representative of the company Rajesh Agarwal, Vineet Polyfab is engaged in manufacturing, trading and wholesaling a wide assortment of textile yarns. The company has established strong ties with Uzbekistan enterprises. It supplies products to the companies in Samarkand and Namangan regions.
