In the Fergana city, together with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH, the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), as well as the Gesamtmasche association, was held a seminar on the issues of successfully entering the textile market of the European Union using the system EU GSP+ preferences.
More than 30 company leaderships took part in the seminar. The seminar aroused particular interest among the participants, in particular, questions were actively discussed and asked on the conditions for obtaining preferences, rules of origin of goods, customs regimes in EU countries, quality standards, safety, environmental standards, as well as marketing strategies for entering the European market
Separately, as part of this seminar, was organized a visit to the Teamdress factory. The visit allowed us to visually familiarize ourselves with the production processes, technologies and quality standards that are used in the modern enterprise. This also proves that the use of the EU GSP+ system of preferences can be a key factor for the successful development of the Uzbek textile industry.
The seminar was a success and received positive feedback from participants. It is an important step in the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in the textile industry.
